INFINITY
Magicka Sorcerer Solo PVE ONE BAR Pet Build
Looking for a Solo Magicka Sorcerer Build with nearly INFINITE Sustain, Massive Shields and Health Recovery? Look no further!! This build specializes in SURVIVAL and is so simple it can be run as a ONE BAR Build without needing a HEAL!! Of course, you can use two Full Skill Bars for even more utility and DAMAGE. This build is a fantastic option for anyone looking to pick up the Magicka Sorcerer Class in The Elder Scrolls Online High Isle Chapter and beyond!
Primary Sets
Our primary defensive set on this build is Alessian Order which buffs our Health Recovery at all times by over 1000! This, combined our natural health recovery bonuses as a Sorcerer as well as massive shields through Hardened Ward gives us amazing survivability!
With the introduction of the High Isle chapter, an incredibly strong Mythic option is now available to support One Bar Builds in ESO. This is the Oakensoul Ring at it provides insane stats if you don’t mind limiting yourself to one skill bar.
Players can make use of a simple two-piece Jewelry set on this build to accompany the Mythic Ring. I recommend using two pieces of the Armor Of The Trainee set to help fill this gap.
Many great Monster Sets can be extremely effective on the Sorcerer class, but my favorite in this case is Maw Of The Infernal as this fits the Pet build aesthetic we already have, plus its easily procced by doing Heavy Attacks with our Lightning Staff.
And speaking of Lightning Staves, this build can make use of the Crushing Wall set (Maelstrom Arena Destruction Staff) for even more Heavy Attack damage.

(2 items) When you deal damage with a Light or Heavy Attack, you have a 33% chance to summon a fire breathing Daedroth for 15 seconds. The Daedroth's attacks deal 3865 Flame Damage, and alternate between Fiery Breath, Fiery Jaws, and Jagged Claw, which alternate once every 2 seconds. The Daedroth can only be summoned once every 15 seconds.
Crushing Wall
Set bonus
(2 items) Your Light and Heavy Attacks deal an additional 1353 damage to enemies in your Wall of Elements.
Alternative Sets
For alternatives, Permafrost is a very interesting defensive set which increases our health recovery by a massive amount while we have a damage shield skill active. This fits the Magicka Sorcerer very well because we have the strongest damage shield in the game (Hardened Ward), and also have a passive boost to our health recovery through the Sorcerer class passives.
If you decide not to use the Oakensoul Ring and would rather use two full skill bars then you can also run a second 5 piece set for better critical chance like Mother’s Sorrow.
For an alternate Mythic option, or if you prefer to not be limited to one skill bar, players can use the Gaze Of Sithis. The extra armor, health and health recovery available from this Mythic Item perfectly fit the theme of this build and make it even stronger! I definitely recommend picking this up if possible.
You may also consider a more defensive set like Iceheart for even greater survivability plus some decent damage.

Skills Discussion & Rotation
One Bar Rotation
Buff with your potion and debuff any bosses with Elemental Susceptibility. Next, cast Summon Volatile Familiar, Mystic Orb, Unstable Wall Of Elements, then Heavy Attack 3-4 times in a row. If you are taking damage just remember to cast Hardened Ward to protect yourself and give your Health Recovery time to heal you back up.
Two Bar Rotation
Buff with your potion and debuff any bosses with Elemental Susceptibility. Buff yourself with Critical Surge and Boundless Storm. Next, cast Summon Volatile Familiar, Mystic Orb, Unstable Wall Of Elements -> Bar Swap. Follow up with 3 Heavy Attacks. Use Hardened Ward as needed for healing and defense.

Companions
If you like playing Solo, this build can benefit greatly from using Companions! While any Companion set up can be helpful, a Companion that can buff our heavy attacks as well as provide additional shielding will be best for this build. I recommend Bastian Hallix for Companion on this build with the set up below. More information on Companions Builds and Skills can be found in our detailed Companion Guides section.
